TD Event Space Hosts the Inaugural Denver Black Owned Excellence Gala & Honors

The Denver Black Owned Excellence Gala & Honors was created to recognize and celebrate Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and community contributors.

The evening's program described the gala as an opportunity to celebrate those who are building businesses, creating opportunities, strengthening communities, and establishing legacies.

The event also placed an emphasis on more than professional accomplishments. It highlighted the importance of community, culture, legacy, and recognition, bringing people together to acknowledge those doing meaningful work today while celebrating those who helped pave the way.

That message was reflected throughout the evening—from the awards and fashion showcases to the performances and networking opportunities.

The inaugural gala featured an extensive program that kept guests engaged throughout the evening.

The program began with a Black Excellence Reception, followed by an opening celebration and a special hostess and host moment. Guests were then welcomed by founder and executive director Yovette Gilbert, setting the tone for the evening.
